Privacy Policy

Our privacy notice and terms of service is subject to change in due time based upon changed regulations and systematic updates. Users will be informed of changes immediately. Changes that alter your privacy rights are taken seriously, and we will take appropriate measures to inform you. If you disagree with our changes of our Privacy Policy and or terms of service, and refuse to comply, you will no longer be able to use our service(s). Some updates may be optional, and you can opt-out of.

Personal Data & Data Collection

We may collect data to tailor to your user experience. "Data" and "Personal Data" are addressed as two separate entities in our privacy policy. "Personal Data" is data which is defined by the Data Protection Act 2018. Personal Data may be voided in cases of obfuscation, anonymized, or misleading information. As of our current Policy, we do not collect Personal Data directly, but we do collect IP addresses to tailor to user data, which falls under linked personal data. Collected Data is essential for operations, and the many types of different Data we collect are listed below.

How We Use Data

Data, as listed above, can be utilized to:
  • Provide support in instances of contact
  • Process transactions and send information about your transactions on service
  • Detect malicious activity
  • Enable us to monitor your data through independent analytics
  • Test features and or updates on our service
  • Contact users
  • Optimize performance & site-related issues
  • Protect the security of our service, and our users

  • Allow us to create user-accounts and authenticate your information

Data Collection - General Data, Local Data, Types of Data Collected

Local Data

When interacting with our website, some data may be automatically collected and stored to your browser. This is local data, also known as localStorage, and although our servers do not have access to this data directly, it is possible for us to record this data. Local Data includes:
  • Settings information
  • Decryption key for synced settings
  • Four.meme access token, generated by your client when launching a token on Four.meme

Cookies

We, as well as many other services, use cookies (website-editable text files that are stored on your device) to enhance your user experience. Our cookies are not used for analytical purposes, and are not shared to advertisers. Cookies includes:
  • Your NEO account's session ID

General Data

"General Data" is a broad term, but it does not fall under any other type of data. General Data is collected similarly to Cookies and Local Data, except only when the user and/or their client provides it to us. General Data is stored on our servers. General Data includes but is not limited to:
  • OAuth provider name
  • ID of your account at the selected OAuth Provider
  • Username
  • Modifications in settings, always encrypted in transit
  • Time you last modified your settings
  • Anonymous usage data (e.g. errors, transactions)

Analytics

Analytics are completely anonymous and are not tied back to a specific user. It's important to note that although the data collected may fall under Personal Data under your jurisdiction, it is never used to identify a user. We do not use cookies for our analytics. Analytics include:
  • IP Address
  • Country of origin (via IP geolocation)
  • Browser user agent
  • Visit time, duration, and count
  • Website you visited from (via HTTP Referer header)

Third-Party Data

We do not share info with anyone, but since we use unaffiliated third-party services, it is important to look over their respective privacy policies as well, if applicable. Services include: None of the data mentioned is shared without your permission. Most data is collected as you interact with the site, saved locally as you make changes. It is important to note that a change in your hardware or browser means that some local info may not be transferrable.

Deletion of Information

As long as we remain a public service, your account will never be terminated. This means we save mandatory information such as your account. As you use our service, we may be allowed to utilize your information for whichever legitimate purposes we may inquire, such as analytics, or comparing user-info. Information is maintained, and will not be deleted unless directly requested. Some data, such as your wallet transactions, cannot be deleted or de-identified. To ensure maximum user security, your information will not be shared with anyone unauthorized. Once your information is deleted, we will no longer be able to utilize it. Therefore, you will not be able to request a copy of your information. Your rights of access, rights to deletion, rights to export, and right to reinstate, will be terminated. There is currently no retention period, which means your information can be saved indefinitely.

Opt-out of Data Collection

You may be able to opt-out of some collected data, specifically data that tailors to analytics, user feedback, and logs. Depending on the data you opt-out of, you may experience:
  • Degraded performance
  • Delayed updates and changes
  • Unexpected errors and failures

First, Second, and Third-Party Sites

NEO itself is a first-party. We do not have a father corporation, meaning we have no second-party in which we can share information. We do not have third-party affiliates, although we may use links for other websites such as X (formerly Twitter), Google, Discord, or Telegram. Affiliates are not entitled to your information, and therefore your information will never be shared with anyone. These links are not an endorsement of, or representation that we are affiliated with, any third party. In addition, our content may be included on web pages or in mobile applications or online services that are not associated with us. We do not control third party websites, mobile applications or online services, and we are not responsible for their actions. The services we use have no direct affiliation with us.

Data Security

We take security seriously. We implement multiple administrative and technical safeguards to prevent the compromise of data which we collect. Unfortunately, there is only so much we can do. We will actively be implementing security solutions, and trying our absolute hardest to secure user information, but we cannot guarantee the security of your information. Any transmission of data is at your own risk. We ask users not to share any personal information with anyone. This includes our staff, or potential affiliates. Despite not guaranteeing possible data vulnerabilities, it is impossible that any incriminating information can be obtained by an attacker. If info is obtained by unauthorized personnel, we can assure you it will not be harmful to our users or service.

Tracked Users

Information from tracked users does not go beyond that of the websites we track from. "Tracked Users" in this instance are not those who use our services, but those who use third-party services that we utilize, such as X (formerly Twitter). If you are a user affected by our services and you want to be removed, please contact our support. If you feel as though our privacy policy is disrespecting your rights or we have displayed inconsistency amongst our Privacy Policy, please contact our support immediately. We will always respond to you, and we will never share your information or inquiries with anyone.
